Olivia and Hunter decided to “elope.” Now, what I mean when I put that in quotation marks, is that originally, the plan was for minimal guests to attend this special milestone event. But, this lovely couple couldn’t resist inviting just a few more close family and friends! Their elopement turned out to be a quaint gathering filled with laughter and joy. We were all very nervous about the 80% chance of rain that was forecasted for the day, so with quick thinking and a LOT of flexibility on everyone’s part, we moved our timeline up by 4 hours. Yes, we were crazy! But, it was the right call, and we ended up celebrating these two incredible people during a bright and sunny afternoon on the Mississippi River, in the exact spot they have spent endless time on and have made many memories. During a sweet ceremony officiated by Hunter’s uncle, Olivia and Hunter stopped the ceremony to record the time that they would. be officially married so that it could be captured on a pocket watch for forever. We ended the evening at Hunter’s parent’s houseboat to enjoy good food and conversation, portrait time at the wagon bridge, and lastly, a big splash when Olivia and Hunter jumped off of the houseboat roof into the river!
